About Jerry Wilson
An accomplished historian and cabinet maker, Jerry Wilson combines his knowledge of the decorative arts with superb woodworking skills to create truly innovative designs. Jerry believes great design is founded upon a thorough knowledge of materials, hardware and techniques. He draws heavily on the research skills developed during his graduate studies to achieve that end.
Jerry often says that the only limitations to building anything are the laws of gravity… and he likes to think that he has almost found a way around those. Always attentive to his clients’ vision, Jerry demands perfection and refuses to be satisfied until all functional and aesthetic qualities of a design are in harmony.
Jerry Wilson Q & A
Where do you find design inspiration?
The unique challenges of each project that turn into great opportunities to stretch design boundaries is our primary inspiration.
How do you approach the design process?
Spaces are evaluated from a point of view that the possibilities are unlimited. Searching for thoughtful, creative solutions and providing detailed drawings to help a client visualize our intent are the first steps. Finding the best way to execute the design and expecting the best from all involved ensures success.
What makes your aesthetic stand out amongst other designers?
As interior designers/ space planners specializing in kitchens, insistence on perfection and an astute ability to take advantage of every inch of space is a hallmark of our designs. The aesthetic of most importance is that of the client or design team. Our goal is to guide them in fully realizing, and at times inventing, that aesthetic.
What is the greatest value you provide to your clients?
Clients are very appreciative of our command of a vast design palette that incorporates cutting edge materials, technology and techniques. They trust our realistic approach and value the encouragement we give them to immerse themselves in a collaborative design process.
