"La maison existante, une demeure en rangée historique de style victorien du quartier d'Alamo Square construite en 1890, a survécu au séisme et à l'incendie de San Francisco en 1906 qui ont ravagé une grande partie de la ville. Les propriétaires, un ingénieur chez Apple et la dirigeante d'une société de graphisme prospère, souhaitaient une cuisine moderne qui respecte l'architecture existante de style victorien. La transformation incluait des armoires entourant la cheminée de la salle à manger et une terrasse devant la cuisine. Veuillez noter que la cheminée victorienne d'origine, cachée par une rénovation antérieure, a été retrouvée en bon état et est devenue une caractéristique architecturale de notre conception."
"The existing home, an historic Alamo Square Victorian townhouse built in 1890, survived the 1906 San Francisco earthquake and fire that destroyed a large portion of the city. The owners, an engineer at Apple and an owner of a successful graphic design firm, desired a modern kitchen while being respectful of the existing Victorian architecture. The remodel included cabinetry flanking the Dining Room fireplace and a deck off the kitchen. Please note the original Victorian chimney concealed by a previous remodel was found to be in good condition and became an architectural feature in our design."
