Canyon Creek

Regional Award Winner KDC 2010-12

"Perched high in the hills of Shady Canyon in Irvine, CA sits a magnificent home to a young family of four. It represents a peaceful combination of organic materials, environment and architecture. Interior components, including natural tumbled stone walls and reclaimed wood beams complete the residence.

This stunning kitchen represents the center-stone to an entertainer’s dream with open space into the nook, great room, outdoor patio and pool! The client demanded an atmosphere that felt open and relaxed. With a fresh clean twist, the organic mix of steel windows, glass lighting, reclaimed wood beams and white mahogany wire brushed wood cabinets and hood above a 60” Wolf Dual Fuel Range, make for an environment guests want to touch and feel.

At 14 feet in length, the grand center island with the simple feel of a contemporary baker’s table cut from Calcata Vagli stone anchors this open space. Often during the day you find children on lap tops or working on homework at the counter while Mom is prepping the family dinner. Two fully-integrated Wolf warming drawers and two fully-integrated 36” Sub-Zero Refrigerator/Freezers become inconspicuous components to a full height cabinet wall in this highly functional culinary delight."
