Serene Neutral Kitchen in the Woodlands of Tennessee
In their forested retreat, the homeowners desired a kitchen that is both functional and serene. They envisioned a space that blends seamlessly with the natural surroundings, offering a simplified aesthetic with concealed appliances. Their open kitchen, connected to the great room, needed to balance lively meals and cooking with the tranquility of the landscape. This kitchen stands as a testament to their lifestyle, where nature, functionality, and beauty converge effortlessly.
SEAMLESS INTEGRATION WITH NATURE
The minimal design and neutral palette complement the surrounding landscape, enhancing the home's connection to nature without competing with it.
CONCEALED FUNCTIONALITY
With the kitchen open to the great room, it was essential to minimize workhorse Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances from view. The design and paneled appliances provide a clean, concealed look when not in use, while still being easily accessible.
THOUGHTFUL APPLIANCE PLACEMENT
Sub-Zero Refrigeration is distributed creatively throughout the kitchen. The main kitchen sports a refrigerator column, and the pantry and coffee bar feature refrigeration and freezer drawers. This setup optimizes space while supporting all manner of culinary tasks, morning coffee rituals, and smoothie prep.
OVERCOMING ARCHITECTURAL CHALLENGES
The vast, open space with high vaulted ceilings and full-height windows meant the kitchen’s design needed to stand on its own. The result is a stunning, balanced design that integrates gently and unobtrusively with the home and treetops beyond.
TRUSTED APPLIANCES
The homeowners' positive experience with Sub-Zero and Wolf in the past influenced their choice. A visit to their local showroom helped finalize the dimensions and placement of these trusted appliances, ensuring they fit just as envisioned within the design.
