Arched Details Elevate Practical Kitchen
In their open-concept home, the homeowners envisioned a kitchen that blends functionality with bold architectural features and a monochromatic design. Designer Connie Vernich made thoughtful design decisions that balance the functionality and beauty of the kitchen, resulting in a space that is both visually stunning and highly practical.
BOLD ARCH
A dominating arch frames the main wall, creating a wow factor that ties the kitchen to the living room's shared architectural feature. The marble backsplash required the coordinated effort of a dozen tradespeople to hang the four large, book-matched slabs, further showcasing the skill involved in the kitchen’s creation.
FUNCTIONAL FLOW
The kitchen's layout ensures easy movement between the sink, Sub-Zero Refrigerator, and Wolf Range. The compact work triangle organizes all the essentials within a few steps, making culinary endeavors efficient and enjoyable.
MONOCHROMATIC WARMTH
Warm wood tones and a monochromatic color scheme bring serene cohesion to the space. Meanwhile, the marble wall takes center stage among the minimal finishes.
HIDDEN FUNCTIONALITY
Horizontal slat cabinetry conceals most appliances, maintaining the kitchen's clean look. Additional appliances are tucked away in the adjacent scullery, easily accessible from both sides of the kitchen.
PREMIUM PERFORMANCE
Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances were selected for their performance, reliability, and ability to integrate seamlessly into the design. They ensure the kitchen remains functional and uncluttered and reflect the homeowners' high standards for quality.
