Long Island Kitchen

Regional Award Winner KDC 2010-12

"Designing this kitchen was great. This rectangular large space was designed by three long modules. No curves or fancy shapes were used. I knew the refrigerator and the freezer were on the other side of range top, so we installed a 700BR unit, next to the sink. This large kitchen is the epicenter of this home, so I had to think about having everything on it, so besides the oven, the microwave, the warming drawer and the dishwasher, we went all the way to the coffee machine, the TV and the wine storage. I used different color of countertop on the island than on the range top area to give each one of this areas specific character. Keeping the number of materials and colors low made this kitchen light to the eyes."
